Digging deeper into the behaviour of rats and mustelids

This was a unique opportunity for those working hands-on in predator control, to gain insight into these predators, and to use this information to advance trapping skills in order to remove them from our ecosystem.

Professor King is an international authority on the biology of mustelids and rodents, who generously gave her time to share her extensive knowledge. This was an additional morning event following on from Connect & Inspire 2023.

This event was attended by 63 people, many professionals working in this field including Auckland Council Regional Park rangers from Tāwharanui and Shakespeare regional parks.
